At Medics24 Ltd we believe that only the best people should deal with an emergency. The statutory emergency services use the best people available for a reason, and so do we. Dealing with a real emergency where a life could be at stake is one of the most challenging and stressful scenarios that one can face. When all eyes are upon you the personnel involved must be able to deliver. Day in, day out, on the streets of the UK, our paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMT) are working in their normal jobs, responding to 999 calls. When working for Medics24 they are bringing with them valuable skills and experience vital for the safety of your event.

As you will see from our ‘paramedic information’ page a UK paramedic is a certified and registered professional.
The paramedic is ably assisted by an EMT. In the UK EMT is not a protected title like paramedic so there are varying levels of training available in the private ambulance industry. At Medics24 we call our EMT staff ‘advanced’ as they have achieved the 999 ambulance service qualification and currently serve in that role. This is the highest EMT qualification available in the UK.

Our support staff comprise of EMT ‘basic’ and first aid staff. Our EMT ‘basic’ staff level also have to have statutory emergency medical services experience in a primary response role, although they do not have to currently be in that role. Our first aid staff are qualified to HSE first aid at work level and are valuable members of our team. They benefit greatly from working in close contact with our professional staff.

We also believe that, when working for us, our staff should not be confused with operational 999 personnel, for that reason our distinctive, but practical blue uniform is an important part of our unique identity
